Keeping busy and stuff

I have been so occupied with everything else that I have been unable to update my blog as often as I would like but I am really going to try to make a super hard effort.  I know I said that before

 

Weeks ago I joined the 365 Day Challenge.  I had been toying with the idea for a short while before I actually decided to give it a go.  Just visiting the site daily got me motivated.  Part of me was afraid I would start and fail.  I hate to fail but I pushed my fears aside.

 

Here is the information ABOUT THE CHALLENGE:

Guurrrl is challenging herself as well as others to create something new every day for the next 365 days. Please use whatever creative talents you have whether it is cooking, sewing, felting, sculpting, photography, scrap-booking, writing, painting, sketching, beading .....the sky is the limit!

 

I continue to be amazed at what we are all capable of.  SO much talent is around us.

OnlyOllie has recently decided to open her own Etsy shop offering an assortment of homemade bread that will be made the same day and shipped to you via Priority.  I cannot wait until she decides to offer her Rosemary and Olive Oil bread!  I envy her baking & cooking abilities.  I no longer take time to cook and seeing her baking creations only made me feel both worthless and hungry at the same time :-)

 

Penelope Anne, designer and owner of CandyStickLane Boutique & TheJumpOff, a recycled clothing shop, practically does everything, knitting, sewing, drawing, you name it!

 

Gail, designer and owner of Guurrrl Designs does wonders with polymer clay.  She also crochets, sews, makes jewelry,  oh yes and recently made candied apples :-)

 

And myself, Atasha, the crafty mama, designer and owner of Treatsforyoursweets and the newly opened Sexygirl.  I am a disorganized mess.  I laugh at myself sometimes because I am unable to just stick with one thing.  I have so many half done projects it's a shame.  Most nights when it's time for me to work on something, I spend 10 minutes and upwards looking for stuff.  We won't talk about the room where I throw my purchased fabric or the boxes of containers of fabric in the garage.  It's awful.  I think I should start gathering my receipts and things of that nature right now because they are thrown in bags all over the place.  And you know the sad thing?  I actually have a filing cabinet for this.  It's in the garage.  Fine place for it to be.  I need some direction.

 

Anyway, I am a bit pleased with my accomplishments for the past month or so.  I have stuck with it but a year is such a long time.  I wonder if I can make it :-)
