Say it IS so!!

I never win anything. Well that's not entirely true I've won small things but if I won this I promise I will use it everyday. (Toes & fingers crossed) Do you think they would fall for a bribe? Maybe if I send them a really sad story my chances of winning will be increased.

Something like this:
The vaccuum I currently have does not work on tile. I must be stupid crazy because everytime I use it I think it will miraculously start picking up the dust balls and stray goldfish that's been thrown across the floor. It has caused me much grief. After I vaccuum the rug, I still have to get the broom to do the tiles. Either that or the Swiffer. Nonsense. Not to mention a waste of time. Precious time that I could be spending with my family. I won't tell you of the injury my 2 ton vacuum has caused to my back. This ofcourse would not have happened had we been able to afford this light weight Dyson.

So how am I doing?

Okay, you've probably already heard of the contest but if you haven't please run on over here to enter the giveaway. Are you ready? It's for a Dyson Slim Vaccuum no kidding.

Yet another (sour) trip to Legoland

...only this time, this past Wednesday, the fun was cut short by a monster tantrum. We hadn't had one of these in quite some time.

Before we left home Christopher asked me for medicine. He says, "Mama, I'm sick...medicine." I believed him because he had a runny nose earlier in the morning although he just asks for it because he says it tastes like candy.

So I give him the medicine and off we went. Big mistake and that was totally my fault. On the bottle clearly states may cause drowsiness but it may also cause excitability. In the past it's been the latter. So I guess I knew I was taking a chance.

We hit the little boat first after waiting in a semi-long line. Again another spring break day and it was so crowded. I then decided I would let him have a go at the cars. It's for kids 3 - 5. They must know how the steer and push the pedal. I figured he would figure it out as soon as he got in the thing.

Well we never made it that far because the monster came out of him while we were in line. He threw himself on the floor and started screaming. I was very calm and tried to talk to him. He kept saying, "Go drive cars NOW!" I explained to him that there were people before us and we had to wait. That didn't work and I told him that if he didn't stop behaving badly we would go home.

He stopped for a few seconds that it started all over again. I meant what I said and kindly asked those in the back of me to let me pass. He screamed all the way to the car and threw himself on the ground several times.

Then he said he was tired. Yes the medicine had actually caused him to become extremely drowsy and irritable. He couldn't tolerate a wait in the line nor would he do as I say.

He fell asleep on the ride home along with Ms. Alyssa.

That's the last time I'll do that!

Oh I could just cry!

Our old camera just came back from repair today. I am impressed with the folks at Canon. It stopped working some time mid last year so I visited the website only on the 8 th of this month to see about sending it for repair. What prompted this you ask? The husband was talking about buying one for himself and I just couldn't allow him to spend the money. Cameras cost too much these days.

Anyway so I visit the site and I see a note to consumers of certain models. Apparently there was a malfunction with the
CCD Image Sensor and an advisory was posted. I emailed them and things were taken care of in a matter of minutes. 24 hours later a prepaid UPS labelled was emailed to me. It took my lazy self a whole week and some days to mail the thing back and today it arrived via FedEx. Our Canon Powershot A300 is working again. I haven't even told the husband we got it back. I decided to check to see what the internal memory had stored and it took me back.

Look at that baby face even though it's not a happy face. I can't believe how much he has grown.

I lost a lot of sleep when she came along. Not because she was a fussy baby but for the first couple of months I watched her sleep to make sure she was breathing. You know, SIDS. Since she was born she never slept on her back as they recommend. She simply refused to. Seems like she had developed her own little habits before joining us, including the finger sucking which she still does.

I want my babies back

A remodelled fish tank

So the big Oscar fishy died and "I" was the one who was left to clean that filthy tank. Mind you this was supposed to be my husband's project. When we purchased the tank, those famous words of, "I'll take care of it" were spoken by him. I should have known better.

I cleaned it some time last week and Chris bought a couple test fishes to make sure the water was correctly balanced. A few days later, the fish were still alive so we were good to go.

Sunday morning I took Christopher to Petco, I actually prefer Petsmart but the closer store had to do. We started to stock the tank.

You probably can't even see the little fishes we bought. I prefer to buy them small and watch then grow. Which is what I had done with the Oscar. When I bought him he was probably 1 1/2". When he left us 10 yrs later, he was almost 12" . He had a full life. I believe their life expectancy is somewhere between 10 and 12 yrs.

So the husband had mentioned those frogs that he had seen at the fish store. Then Christopher got so excited when he saw froggie at the store. I can't believe I did this but yes, I did. If you look closely in these 3 last photos you should be able to see the small thing.

We'll keep adding fishies every week. Hopefully they'll have a long happy life like the fishies in our smaller tank. They've been around for many years and have survived 3 moves. Such troopers!

UPDATE: Froggie is nowhere to be found. I am a little concerned.

The wind is crazy here causing something to rattle in the chimney. I love it! I am going to make a cup of tea, bundle up and head out back to enjoy these high winds.

Today at WAP

I wanted to take everyone along for the ride so I started the picture taking even before we arrived. Dangerous i know and shame on me but if it makes me look any better, I didn't take my eyes off the road while snapping away which is why some of the photos look like they do.

Christopher wanted to go see the animals today so that is what we did. As I mentioned before we are using the stroller less and less and to guarantee that I stuck to it I removed the stroller from the back and left it in the garage, just in case I was tempted. Sometimes Christopher would act up when he's tired. Knowing I have the stroller and knowing there is a small possibility that I will carry Alyssa and put him in it, he tends to misbehave. But not today.

So join me in my trip please and forgive me for the lousy, bad quality shots.

There is a lot of land out there in Escondido as you can see.
It was overcast for the most part which is one reason I didn't complain when the boy asked to see the animals.
Some of you know how bad it can get when the sun is out, right Carrie? Remember our brave visit last summer. Yikes, never again.
Once it gets warm we will purposely avoid going there. I'm not sure how the boy will handle that.
I wanted to pull over to take a better shot of the Ostrich but someone was riding my bumper so I did the best I could. Large signs are outside this place advertising Ostrich eggs for sale. I could never eat them, but I wonder how they taste. Any different to chicken eggs? And I don't even like chicken eggs.

Once we drove in the parking lot I realized this trip may have been a mistake. Two words...Spring Break! Parking was impossible and after circling for a few minutes I decided to do what was best for the kids (since there was no stroller) even though it may be considered lazy. Yes, we opted for the Preferred Parking, an additional $5.00 on top of the $6.00, we only have the regular pass. But it guaranteed us a closer spot so we did it.

As soon as we entered, the boy made his request for a carousel ride.

We saw this Ibis, I think that's what it is, on the way there. Alyssa was in awe. I guess things look different when you're walking and not being rolled around.

Not sure what plant this is but it was so beautiful I had to take a photo
So on to the carousel we went. Alyssa was so scared I barely managed to let her go to take this photo
Christopher was fine of course although his face still changes when we ride it. He still isn't sure whether he enjoys it or if he is scared. Maybe both!
I don't really enjoy riding it because it make me feel sick

When we were finished we walked around in circles looking for the Railway. Since we would all get a chance to sit for a while I figured we would all enjoy it but after walking for quite some time I spotted the sign saying the Railway in no longer. Now there was something else, the new Journey Into Africa Tour, that was not free. $10.00 for mommy and $5.00 per child so we walked on by. We passed the Pudu who was ever so shy and hid behind his/her wooden log

There was the Monitor. Christopher was not too thrilled to see it. This was taken the second time we passed it and only then was he okay looking at it.
I think the Porcupine was sick and being nursed back to health. He's the one on the left :-)

Now this is really why we came to the Park.
He wanted to feed the animals
I know they are all tamed but they always look so sad. They just laze around and eat. Many of them refused food from Christopher. I am sure they were just stuffed to their necks. I wonder if they get out to run?
We didn't stay too long. He was sad to leave them and actually cried a bit, then said his goodbyes. I promised him that we will be back soon. I am hoping we'll return for the first day of their Butterfly exhibition on the 31st. When is that? Friday? Oh no, Saturday? Maybe daddy will be off and we can drag him along. That ought to be neat.

He was ready to see some monkeys. I tried to correct him, they were actually Gorillas. He said yes, monkeys. Okay.

She just loved to be out of the stroller and walking.
Notice the bucket in his hand. He suckered me into buying him a Kid's Meal. Actually it was more like a bribe. He was tired and started whining so I did the best I could and bribed him. It worked.
For $6.99, he got a huge hot dog (we threw the frank away and Alyssa ate the bun), a small bag of animal crackers/cookies, a box of raisins, a small bag of chips and a drink in their special animal themed kid cup.I guess that wasn't too bad but you know how cheap I am. I travelled lightly today and it was my fault it came to this. I made sure or thought I made sure their tummies were filled before we left home. I had my hand bag with 2 diapers and a few wipes, my wallet and keys. That was it.I let them play in here for a little. Alyssa was smarter than he anticipated. He expected her to follow him around and through the log but instead she kept running inside, back and forth, from one end to the other. That's my girl!

We were off to see the monkeys GorillasApparently Alyssa was excited to see them too! She took off running.

We spotted some kind of bird nest. I seemed to have missed the sign and didn't know what type of birds they were.
He looked like the boss and just sat there watching everything that was taking place

Including these 2. They were chasing each other for quite some time.
Christopher said to me, "Look mama, they're friends!"

We'll I had looked away for a second to make sure Alyssa was not climbing under the wooden barricade and when I looked back this is what I saw. The frisky things.
What could I say? I told him that they were friends. He then told me that they were sleeping. Everyone around seemed to be embarrassed. I heard 1 guy say to his friend, "No! I'm not going to record that!" I felt privileged for some reason, and changed camera modes immediately and set it to record. I really wanted to share it here but then when I looked at the short clip at home it seemed X-rated.

After our brief Zoo Porn we were on our way out. Birdies were relaxing all over the placeEven Mr. Pelican
On our walk to the exit there were ducks everywhere! Here....
and here.....
Tiredness was starting to settle in. She was no longer running.
We got to see one of his favourites, the Flamingos. I must say the smell was horrible.

Isn't this beautiful? I love it

More beauty!
Poor thing, her feet were dragging now and I had to carry her at this point
We were heading out the park
See you soon...Bye Bye!
I couldn't believe I actually got the cows
And a decent one to boot

Alyssa was already asleep a few minutes after we left. I put her down for a "nap" once we got home at around 4pm and well, she hasn't gotten up yet. So I expect her to be up any minute now because my baby should be hungry. Maybe...

Call me fresh..

but doesn't this look a little vulgar to you. And what about this?

from our last trip. Doesn't this look like a hooker trying to get business on the boulevard and the policeman pulled the driver over? Look at the driver trying to find his license and registration. Tell the truth. Many of their figures cause me wonder. I think this is secretly an adult themed park.

And yes we went back to Legoland today. I was dead tired and had no plans to go anywhere but Christopher kept asking me to go ride the boat. And what was I supposed to? I certainly couldn't tell him no. Right?

We got there at 3:45pm and today the park closed at 5pm. So it was not a long visit.
I took more photos of things I hadn't taken on Monday so I will share that tomorrow or some time next week.

I had Alyssa walk the whole time today and she loved it. She always does. I have been doing this very often, leaving the stroller behind. I knew she was tired since she had no nap for the whole day but she didn't fuss one bit. She is very good about holding mommy's hand and it was great being there with no stroller.

He was so tired. Notice the half of cookie in his hand.
Rather than let the cookie go to waste, I stole it from his little hands. Guess who ate it?

I forgot to mention that I fell down yesterday, at home, which really wouldn't have been that big of a deal except that I was holding the little miss in my arms. I could tell you this much, I really don't know how she didn't come loose of my grip and hit the concrete. Thank the heavens. It could have been a horrible day. My body felt fine when I got off the ground after the fall but now I am aching. I am going to take some pain killers tonight since my back was apparently affected by the fall. I haven't taken those in a few.

Alyssa the cat

I love this photo

This morning my girl kept coughing and coughing. Everyone's been sick off and on so I just thought she had a regular cough. Then I kept my eye on her for a bit to make sure she wasn't choking on anything. She kept trying to stick her finger down her throat. She then gave one big cough and out it came. A huge nasty hairball. YUCK! No we have no pets in here. She like to pull at her hair and since she also sucks her fingers, well the hairs accidentally got in her mouth.

I am trying to find out what kind of flower this is. I love it so much I was hoping to look for the actual plant and try my hand. Judging from past experience it will probably end up dead anyway but it would be worth the try. Does anyone know?

What a wonderful day ~ A post full of photos

I am always amazed that we can have so much fun at Legoland even though we go there so often. The kids never get bored and I am positive it will only get better once they get a little older and can go on the other rides.

Christopher's favourite things are the boat rides.

Today we headed straight for the Fairy Tale Brook - Explore Village

Do you remember these characters from your childhood stories? I swear the first time we took this ride I was more excited than the kids.

I am always amazed when I look at all of their work. Who sits and builds these things?

And for the first time, we visited The Hideaways - Knights' Kingdom
It's a
multi-level play structure with rope ladders and wooden catwalks

He's at the age where he can truly enjoy it and boy did he ever. So while he disappeared in the upper level of the structure, Alyssa and myself stayed at ground level and explored as best as we could.

We also took a walk through the Adventurer's Club. It's dark and may be a bit scary for younger kids. There is this particular chamber in the place, where the ground shakes very slightly and boy gets scared. Yet he continues to want to go in this place.

On the way out, oh how they know how to get you, there was this big tent sale. The word "SALE" was a magnet for me and we went off the tent. Block sets were on sale for about 50% off the regular price and there were loose blocks, Duplos and the tiny ones(we're not at the tiny block stage yet). Get this. They were all in bins and you could get a small bag and stuff as much as you can in there for $4.98 so I grabbed 2 bags and did my best. You can never have to many blocks you know.
Not too bad
You know how much I love pink, I could not resist

When I went to pay for the 2 bags of blocks I spotted these cool pens and well you know the rest. Hey they were only $0.49 each!

Next time we'll take some photos of Miniland USA to share with you. They're supposed to be oepning the new Miniland Las Vegas on the 29th which should be interesting.

I'll also take him to the
Volvo Junior Driving School - Fun Town. There are little cars and he wanted to go but I didn't think he has grasped the press-the-pedal-and-turn-the-wheel of it all which may lead to some serious frustration when he realizes he cannot move the thing.

Friday Favourites

I hope this counts as a favourite but one of my most favourite thing to do is to watch my kids sleep. I have all sorts of photos taken of them as babies and older, of them sleeping. My brother thinks it's pointless and even though he has a child it's obvious the poor man doesn't have a clue. Look at those faces. So peaceful. I love it. And even though they are 3 yrs old and 17 months I still do it.

To my husband

I still love you honey! More than before if that is at all possible.

Sometimes I sit and think about things. I also think about why I have not become bored with him as of yet. I know that sounds bad but in the past I became bored very easily.

My husband left this morning and arrived safely in Colorado. When I spoke to him he was heading off to the mountains about 100 miles away from where ever he was picked up.

Anyway, this morning and every morning for that matter, he kisses me when he leaves for work. Even though I am the deepest sleeper alive, I know when he does it. Isn't that strange?

We still leave each other messages with the magnetic letters on the refrigerator.

We always tell each other thank you, whether I cleaned the kitchen or he sends me out for me time and stays with our kids. I think many people feel that thank yous are no longer necessary when you're in a marriage. My friend for one asked me why I told my husband thank you for watching the kids while I went out. "That's his job!" she said. While that may be true, a thank you never hurt anyone. Maybe that's why you two argue so much. No I didn't come out and tell her that but she needs to look at how they treat each other.

The point is even though we are married , nobody "has" to do anything. I don't have to make him lunch for work, he doesn't have to get up early on Sundays, to watch the kids so that mommy can sleep in. You know what I mean? Even though it is expected that as a parent the responsibilities are shared. I think a small thank you still lets the other person know that they are still appreciated and not taken for granted.

I also still sneak love notes in his lunch bag.

We talk to each other several times a day while he's at work regardless how busy he is.

Most important, we still laugh about silly things.

I don't have any secrets from this man and I am quite comfortable with him knowing all my faults.

When we are alone and the kids are sleeping, we always like to "remember" the hard times. Just this past weekend we both sat in the back yard under what stars could be seen and just talked. "Remember when we didn't have enough gas money?" "Remember when we had to pawn my wedding ring?" (Yes we did) And we laugh about it. Oh how good it is to have these memories. I don't ever want to forget it.

We are in this for the long run. There isn't anyone else in this world I would rather go through tough times with. Since we've been married, he was always come through for us. He does what he says and hasn't let me down. He spoils his wife and lucky for him I am super low maintenance.

Kids Dance Session

I know some of the photos are of crappy quality but you get the point right!

Today the husband spent hours sitting in front of the computer. Importing noisy songs from his CDs, in an attempt to burn a few copies to distribute to his friends in CO. Isn't that stealing? Anyway, I had to do my part also. He wanted hard copies of recent photos of the kids so I had to look through all these albums and select the best ones, order them with 1 hour pickup and head out.

He's so excited. He broke out the ski wear and even bought himself a new Northface jacket. He kept bragging about the stupid thing. I was not nearly as excited. I have my own and it looks a hell of a lot better than his plain black ski jacket. Too bad I won't be using it this year. Woe is me. How come I don't get a vacation?

So after he got his first copy he played a few songs for the kids and you should have seen them. I did take some videos so they will be added soon. Hopefully the lighting was sufficient.

Just click on this photo to see how her left foot still turns. I think I mentioned my concern about the foot. Her ped. said not to worry.

I had to run to Walmart to get one of those pocket albums for him to take the photos in and I almost turned into someone else. Always something with me eh? I did the self checkout and anyone with sense knows of common courtesy when someone is using their debit card. So I used mine today and these 2 idiots behind me, aside from talking so loudly that the entire store could hear them, they were up on my ass as I was paying for my goods.

I felt anger coming on so I rushed really quickly to grab my bags. Well I hadn't even removed the last bag when the jackass started scanning his items. I grabbed up my last un-bagged item, grabbed an empty bag and moved aside. Well I had forgotten my receipt in the machine and I heard the girl whisper to the guy, "no that's hers".

I turn around to grab my receipt from the machine and it was gone! I knew what they had done and I did not speak a word. The nasty look that they both got would have left them dead on the floor if it were at all possible. I got my message across and in a split second she reached in the little paper basket to the side of the register, got my receipt, handed it to me and apologized. I took my receipt and got out of that store really quickly. I know they probably said I was a bitch but do I really care? Oh how I was annoyed with these 2. One thing that really really gets me is people talking loudly for no reason at all, in addition to people not giving me my space.

I came home and headed out one more time. This time to get something for me! I bought myself 3 tops and 1 pair of pants. And the best thing about it was that I only paid for 2 of those tops. I thought the total was low but who is to say there wasn't an additional markdown at the register. Come to find out after I practically ran out the store, that the cashier didn't charge me for one of them. I was so happy. That really made my day. See I am not hard to please at all!

Bad mommy

Since we've been having some warm weather I decided to look for the kids' summer clothing. And to my surprise poor Christopher has no summer clothes. I think I found 1 pair of shorts that may actually fit him. (Update: I tried to put him in the said pants today and he said "ouch" and sucked in his tummy). I guess someone needs to go shopping. Alyssa's summer clothes from last year is somewhere in some box in the garage. Hmm....maybe those can't fit either. I just have to wait until the husband has some time to unstack all the boxes.

The Perfit Fit

I took these at about 4:30am one morning. The kids napping schedule has been out of this world. We go out in the morning to a park or somewhere, we get home. They go down for their naps late at about 4 pm and just never get up for dinner or anything. Then they get up at horrific hours in the morning. And here she was one morning. Wide eyed and ready to play. I managed to entertain her for about 40 minutes then told her to get her bunny, it was time for bed. She immediately grabbed her bunny, headed for the stairs, climbed up all by herself and went to her room where she stood beside her bed and waited for mommy to put her in. what a good girl.
Yes, he was trying to remove his pants because today, at the park, I found out they were too small

Today we went to the park. It was hot. I am scared for what's in store for us this summer. Luckily there was a fountain where the kids could play. This ofcourse was after Gym class. It was okay. I spoke with the teachers and they told me not to worry. He is having separation issues. This is the same boy who runs off to play at the park and forgets about mommy. Apparently it's common with 3 yr old boys and they told me to stick with it. Other mommies told me the same thing happened with their boys too. He is the youngest in the class. No one believed me when I told them he just turned 3.

Anyway, I had to sit off to the side in the gym, so that he could see me everytime he turned, not from behind the glass. Alyssa played very well out in the waiting area while I was in there. He ran to me several times crying and I told him to go back over to the bars to show me how he could climb and it worked.

So I just had him play in his underwear

I signed him up again for Parent's Survival Night this Saturday. They thought it would be good for him. I think it would be Great for us all. So Alyssa will have mommy all to herself for about 4 hours on Saturday. The funny thing is he is fine when I leave him there. So they suggested that maybe for regular gym class that I go run errands so that he knows mommy isn't in the building. We'll see.

Everyone took a nice nap when they got home from the park. Everyone except me. So now I am tired. I didn't even make the kids a real dinner. Instead they dined on String Cheese and hot dog franks. I know, I know, shame on me.

He played by himself a lot today, I think he has things on his mind
Alyssa has a blast as usual and had a fit when I took her out of the water

Daddy flies out at 6 am on Friday to go skiing and bust his other ankle I guess. I hope he has safe fun. He is excited as there will be about 5 of them there. I am excited for him. He hasn't seen them in quite some time.

Exactly what is going on here?

I ran off as soon as my husband came home, to guess where? Yep, to have a pedi & manicure. My fingers became a mess very quickly and well, it was time to change the colour on my toes so what the hell. My mom has told me time and time again to please buy some yellow Rubbermaid gloves. I have yet to do so. I keep forgetting to be honest.

So you could imagine what all the cleaning chemicals and whatnots have done to the poor fingers. I was amazed at how much "stuff" she took off. Yuck. And while she scrubbed my feet she could not help but laugh. So rather than feel embarrassed I laughed too, I mean what else can I do? I am sure they've seen worse and to be honest it wasn't that bad. To me anyways.

I bolted out of there and as a request by the husband, ran straight to Marshall's then next door to the Rack. He wanted me to get some more low cut tops. Aye..my husband. It would seem as though he really enjoys hearing about my crazy stories of other men checking out his goods. Men are strange and I am sure he likes to see them too. Ha! Poor guy. I love him, I really do.

I scored in Marshall's but not with something for myself. Aren't we always thinking about the kids? I was about to leave the store, when, from the corner of my eye, I saw a red clearance sign. Oh joy! I was there so quickly.

Yes that says 12 1/2 and yes my son just turned 3 years old

Can we say $12.00? And it was the only pair. Put there just for me I'd say.

OK back to my whole point for this particular post. When I left Marshall's I ran over to the Rack. There was this little girl, maybe 6 or 7 with her grandma. She talking so fast I couldn't understand what she was saying. She was pretty excited.

Check out her "rolls!"

I saw them walk all over the store looking a bit lost. Then the little girl slows down and tells grandma, "Grandma, I just have to have a "Juicy" jacket. Grandma says something, then the little girl says, "like a sweatshirt". I looked over in her direction surprised and interested to see grandma's reaction.

Now I have some questions:

Why is a child this age asking for Couture clothing? I assume she is wearing this to school. Which means other kids have it. They ended up asking a sales assoc. who pointed them in the correct direction but I secretly laughed because I had just searched that same rack and I knew there was nothing in this little girl's size. No Juicy clothing for kids. Not today anyway. I am concerned.

Atleast I got
a pair of pants and sunglasses for myself.

Why won't this migraine go away

For the past 3 weeks or so it's gotten bad, then went away somewhat but lingered there not disturbing me too much from my daily routine. I remember the last time I had issues with migraines I was pregnant, which sort of got me nervous. I am not ready for that yet. I even asked to husband if he had an "accident" but he just smiled. I am not sure what was so funny.

Today is gym class and I am a bit nervous after the boy's behaviour last week. Daddy won't be with us so I hope all is back to normal.

We're having some unusually warm weather here and I think it is expected to last for about 5 days. So yesterday, we had a play date and it was so warm that I dress my little girl in a little short outfit but maybe that was a mistake. As soon as we got home the sneezing began. Can it start so quickly? She was so congested last night even though she did sleep. I heard her fussing whole night.

This morning when I got her a little after 9am, you should have seen her face stained with dried snot and her nose was still running. Even so she was in such a good mood. I hope this ends soon. We've all been battling colds here for months. Why doesn't it go away?
Christopher seems to have developed some type of itch on his butt cheeks. I don't recall him sitting anywhere dirty or anything. I thought it may have been the detergent but then he would be itching all over too right? I guess I need to find something to stop him from itching so that it could get better. Maybe it's from sitting on the carpet with no pants? I use that carpet deodorizer before vacuuming. Hmm...could be.

Update:

Black Widow

I just returned from the backyard and found this on one of the chairs. No mistaking the tell tale marking on the underbody. It was already dead but I'm scared. I'm going to call the husband. Something else to worry about. If there is one then chances are there are more.

Updated: So I showed the husband when he got home. His response : Cool
No Chris it is not Cool. Our kids play back there. This man and his way of thinking. We have to trim the trees back there because they are touching the house and we don't want to make a bridge for them to get into our room upstairs.

Thank you blogging buddies

He was trying to talk her into going down the big kid slide. She bought it

... for showing concern for the absence. I've been in hiding although I have still managed to comment on some of your blogs. I have been trying to make some time for me and it's been nice. Last week I escaped and got a Euro pedicure, which I have never had before.

As I sat there in their fancy Euro massage chair, I attempted to read a book but quickly realized that I should in fact be relaxing to the fullest and I did. I closed the book, put it back in my bag, leaned my head back as that wonderful man, not only scrubbed my much-needed-help feet, but also massage them and my lower legs. All the while that back roller thingy was moving up and down my back and vibrating too! Hehehehe...can't ask for more than that!

A few days later I had enjoyed the relaxation so much that I went back to have their Euro manicure. This can get addicting! I told my husband and he laughed and sighed. Then he said, "Oh boy, how much is this new thing gonna cost me every week" Silly man not every week, just every 2 weeks.

My mom was so happy for me. She has been telling me to do this for ever. Okay, okay, so you were right mommy, again.

The husband is back to work even though he shouldn't be. 10 days is not enough time for a busted ankle to heal. The foot was looking worse than it was before as now most of it was purple/blueish. I think he just got tired being at home. It's really not like him to sit around. He is so different than me probably because he loves his job so much. Me on the other hand would have welcomed the time off and stayed out of work as long as I should have. Anyway, he is still going skiing in CO next Friday. Can we say crazy? He is still limping about the place just walking, how does he expect to ski? His reasoning? Well the ski boot will offer much more support than shoes so it will be okay. Whatever.

This past Sunday we celebrated birthdays that should have been celebrated earlier this but was put off my J's passing. There were 4 birthdays, grandpa,Chris, Christopher and auntie. My husband is getting very annoyed with the presents that come from his dad. No he isn't ungrateful. It's just that his dad's woman friend is the one who does the shopping and she keeps buying my husband these preppy ass sweaters. That is not my husband. She knows he doesn't work in an office and yet these office type sweaters and shirts keep coming. I wonder if she notices he never wears them?

The kids had a wonderful time at the celebration at the park which is where I took these latest photos.

Last Wednesday I had to pull Christopher out of gym class. Since daddy joined us to see what all the fuss was about, Christopher decided to misbehave. He told the instructor he was tired and that he wanted to go home and take a nap. This is what she told me. So after, leaving and re-entering the gym class and repeatedly screaming "NO' at the lady, I had had enough. I grabbed him up, kicking and screaming and we left. As soon as we got home he had passed out on the bed. I guess he was tired.

We also survived Parent Survival Night this past Saturday at the Little Gym. We had from 6 - 10pm but because he slept late I dropped him off at 7 so he spent 3 hours. My phone was on the loudest volume and I held my breath just waiting for the call to "come fetch your monster from here" but it never came.

In the meantime, while waiting, we went out for Chinese. Just the 3 of us. We had such a blast as Alyssa loves to eat just as much as daddy. I on the other hand felt brave and ate some weird looking noodle-like dish. It was good and I tasted a hint of curry. Thank God no one else ate it though, because the next day I was sick. I couldn't stop vomiting and I had the nastiest stomach ache, so bad that I got scared. We've been to this place many times so I don't know what happened.

He had played so hard at the Little Gym, he slept all the way up to 11:45am, just like the good ole days. He got up only because I woke him because we had to go meet our family at the park.

I've been catching up on reading my books that were collecting duct on the shelf and within the past 2 weeks I have completed 6 of them. Pretty good with these kids in here.

Not much else have been going on.
